Veterans Memorial Pool & Waterslide Park

The Veterans Memorial Pool & Waterslide Park in Provo, Utah is a wonderful destination for active preschoolers. Preschoolers will love the exciting water playground and the water slides and parents will love the shady location and the low price.

Preschool Friendly Water Park

Why pay expensive water park admission fees when you can get most of the same amenities at The Veterans Memorial Pool and Waterslide Park for a fraction of the cost. Preschoolers will love the large play area in the shallow pool. Multiple slides will accommodate preschoolers of all skill levels. Preschoolers will have plenty of opportunities to get wet in the many water sprays that fill the play area and the buckets that slowly fill with water and dump on the unsuspecting preschoolers below. For preschoolers who prefer to swim without being splashed, the large beach like pool offers a large open swim area with a gradual incline into the water.

Shaded area surrounds the pool and offers plenty of space to relax away from the bright sun. A variety of deck chairs are available for parents or preschoolers who want a break from the pool.

There are several waters slides in the park that can accommodate a preschooler and a parent. Life jackets are provided for preschoolers before they go down the slide as an added protection.

Preschool Friendly Changing Rooms

The changing rooms provide curtained areas for preschoolers to get dressed in, as well as showers and restrooms. The showers have very strong water pressure and may irritate some preschoolers. Restrooms are located in the changing rooms which are close to the large water slides but a slight walk away from the splash pool.

Picnic Areas

No food or drinks are allowed inside the water park but the adjacent North Park has picnic areas. Picnic Pavilions can be reserved by calling the Provo City Parks and Recreation office at 852-6600.
