Utah County Parks - Lions Park
Lions Park in Provo, Utah is a wonderful place for preschoolers to run and play during nice weather. With a large playground area, a covered pavilion, and restrooms with running water, preschoolers and their parents will be able to enjoy being outside. Conveniently located near downtown Provo, Lions park is a great place to let your preschooler run free.
Lions Park for Preschoolers
Lions Park is a convenient place for preschoolers to play. Parking is located fairly close to the playground area and large trees provide shade as preschoolers play.Restrooms for Preschoolers
Lions Park has a free standing restroom available for park visitors. Restrooms are located near the parking lot and have actual running water. Self flushing toilets and automatic sinks minimizes the contact you have to have with the restroom but overall it is actually very clean for a free standing restroom. The restroom is a little walk from the playground but it is close enough to still be useful to newly potty trained preschoolers.
Large Pavilion
The large pavilion can be rented for events by contacting Provo, City at 852-6600. When the pavilion is not being used, it is a great place for preschoolers to go for shade or to sit and have a picnic at one of the picnic tables. The pavilion is directly next to the playground so parents can watch their preschoolers play from the tables under the pavilion.
Small Stream
A small stream runs through the entire park, providing a beautiful view. Wooden bridges provide access to the rest of the park from the parking lot. The stream is appealing to preschoolers but it can also prevent a safety hazard so preschoolers must have strict parental supervision while playing at the park. The stream is small enough that it can be played in if parents are present.
