Preschool Classes at Utah's Hogle Zoo

Do something a little bit different with your preschooler this summer. Take a class with your preschooler at Utah's Hogle Zoo. Themed educational programs are offered throughout the summer. These two day programs are for preschoolers ages 3-5 and an adult.

Beaks and Feet

Learn about the many kinds of bird beaks and feet in this fun-filled class.
Discover whose beak cracks hard nuts and whose is a great food strainer.
Then take a walk on the wild side as you uncover whose feet are designed for
wading and whose are built for perching. Come learn about our
fine-feathered friends and their beautiful beaks and funny feet as you play
games, hear stories, make a craft and meet some of our feathered friends.

Big and Small, Short and Tall

Big and small, short and tall, the animal kingdom has them all. Uncover some
of the many animal opposites as you spend a fun-filled morning of discovery
at the Zoo. This class will include games, stories, crafts and up-close
animal encounters. (This class includes a t-shirt for your preschooler).

Things That Go Bump in the Night

Have you ever wondered who’s awake while you’re asleep? This class will
explore the lives of the animals that are hunting, eating and having fun
while you sleep. Play games, listen to stories, make a craft and meet some
of our animal friends. You’ll never be afraid of the dark again!
