Salt Lake City Early Childhood Conference

March 24, 2007 - Utah Valley State College in Orem

Whether you are a preschool teacher, a daycare provider, or a parent of a preschooler, the Annual Early Childhood Conference is a wonderful opportunity to spend the day learning about your preschooler’s educational and emotional needs. The conference is put on by the Utah Inter-Institutional Consortium in collaboration with the Utah Association for the Education of Young Children. It will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Utah Valley State College in Orem.

Salt Lake City Early Childhood Conference Keynote Speaker

The keynote speaker at the Early Childhood Conference will be Diane Trister-Dodge, author of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and many other publications for educators of young children. Trister-Dodge is the founder and president of Teaching Strategies, Inc. a company that seeks to improve the quality of early childhood programs by offering developmentally appropriate curriculum materials, practical assessment tools, training programs, parenting resources, and staff development services.

Salt Lake City Early Childhood Conference Information

Lunch is included in the price of the conference. Registration must be received by March 17, 2007 and costs $38.

Session topics include a broad range of subjects related to the education of young children. A few of the choices are, Science in a Box, Preschool Literacy, Montessori Education, Rainy Day Activities and many more. Register early in order to secure your first choices.

Conference attendance can also be used for training hours for individuals working towards receiving their CDA.
