Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest

The Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest at Thanksgiving Point is an exciting way for preschoolers to enjoy the Fall festivities. Preschoolers can choose from a huge variety of activities from pillow jumping to sitting around an open campfire. The maze itself is split up into a longer and shorter phase so preschoolers can choose how long they want to wander through the maze.

Cornbelly's Corn Maze for Preschoolers

The 2007 corn maze at Thanksgiving Point features a pirate theme in honor of the Pirates of the Caribbean that was partially shot at the Utah Salt Flats. The maze is cut in the shape of a pirate ship and offers a two phases, one longer and one shorter. Preschoolers can choose how long they want to wanter through the maze. The corn is left fairly short so preschoolers will not feel overwhelmed. There are no lights in the corn maze so preschoolers will probably want to visit the corn maze before dark, especially since the maze becomes haunted once the sun goes down.

Mini mazes are located just outside the main maze. These mazes are created from straw bales and let preschoolers have the maze experience without the possibility of getting stuck inside the maze. Preschoolers can easily climb over the straw bales if they want to leave the mini maze before they get to the end.

Things Not to Miss at the Pumpkin Fest

The jumping pillows will delight your preschooler. This trampoline-like fitness activity is considered safer than a traditional trampoline and is tons of fun for preschoolers. Cornbelly's has a large jumping pillow and a toddler jumping pillow for kids under 40 inches. Visit during less crowded times so your preschooler has more room to jump.

Pig races are put on at various times throughout the day and will be announced over the loudspeaker a few minutes before they happen. Let your preschooler have the full farm experience watching the pig racing at Cornbelly's.

Visit the campfire pits to rest for a few minutes and warm up cold preschoolers on chilly days. It is important to supervise your preschooler closely near the camp fires but it is a fun experience that preschoolers will love.

Things for Preschoolers to Avoid at the Pumpkin Fest

The Haunted Creature is a large blow-up maze in the center of the Pumpkin Fest but it is too scary for most preschoolers. Before taking your preschooler through the maze do a quick walk through to be sure that it is not too intense for your preschooler. There are emergency exits throughout the creature maze but the loud sounds and haunted attractions may be too much for preschoolers.

The only restrooms available at the Pumpkin Fest are portable restrooms. Encourage your preschooler to use the restroom before they visit Cornbelly's or use the portable restrooms before it gets dark. There are few things worse than a dark port-a-potty on a cold night.

Be sure and visit the corn maze before dark so that your preschooler can enjoy the maze without the haunted attractions. The rest of the attractions at the Pumpkin Fest are well lit and can easily be enjoyed after the sun goes down but the maze is not lit and is best with a little light.
