The American Fork library serves the residents of American Fork City and the surrounding areas (for a small yearly fee). They are conveniently located just off of I-15 on main street in American Fork and offer a wide variety of activities and programs for preschoolers and their families.

Preschooler Friendly Children's Section

The children's section at the American Fork Library features an inviting story telling area. Colorful, tiered seating accommodates preschoolers of all sizes and abilities. Comfortable tables and chairs are located behind the reading area for preschoolers to begin exploring their books or play with the variety of beaded toys that are provided to keep active preschoolers entertained. Water fountains and restrooms are located immediately inside the story telling area for easy access.

The brightly decorated walls are appealing to preschoolers and the large windows let in a substantial amount of natural light. Preschooler sized chairs are spread throughout the children's section for preschoolers who want to get a head start on their reading.

Preschooler Friendly Outside Play Area

A large playground structure is located in the shady area just in front of the American Fork Library. The play structure provides opportunities for preschoolers to play in a large variety of ways. Benches are located just outside the playground area and provide parents with a clear view of their preschoolers playing. Many large trees surround the playground making it a cool place to play even in the middle of the hot summer weather.

The American Fork Library offers an online catalog so that you can easily find and reserve the books that you need. This is especially convenient for parents of preschoolers who would like to check out some books of their own but do not want to spend the time looking for books with an impatient preschooler in tow. Books can be reserved at home and made available to you at the checkout desk so that you can spend more time enjoying the library and less time searching for hard to find materials.
